Pad Sanders

Pad sanders can get into corners like detail sanders but aren’t as precise, and can also work well in open areas. A pad sander gives you versatility to do a lot of different types of sanding, but it may not be quite as efficient as other sanders.

Using a small piece of fine sandpaper, pad sanders are ideal for sanding uneven surfaces like chair legs with ease. Typically, woodworkers use these tools for small projects or for portions of larger projects, but don’t take on an entire project with just a pad sander.
