Ridgid cordless tools are welcoming a new tool to the line, the view-only micro CA-25 handheld inspection camera, and professionals within the ToolSelect community are ready to review, discuss and compare to other inspection cameras.
Designed for professional use in tight spaces, the Ridgid inspection camera gives users added sight and a quick view of hard-to-reach spots. The view-only feature was built as a simplified way to find and diagnose problems quickly and accurately.
“The handheld inspection camera is now a standard tool for most industry professionals, even if it’s only on hand for that one nightmare job,” said Sarah Golish, director of inspection systems and diagnostics for Ridgid. “The micro CA-25 is the perfect camera for the professional who doesn’t have a heavy need for an inspection camera, but still requires a simple solution to confidently detect and diagnose problems.”
The camera is permanently attached to a fixed three-foot cable and can easily slide into tight spots behind walls, in ceilings, mechanical devices and plumbing fixtures, making it a versatile tool for any number of trades.
A 2.4” color LCD display screen with 480 x 234 resolution shows a 180-degree digital rotation and uses four adjustable, ultra-bright LEDs in the camera head. For a larger picture, the camera can be attached to a larger monitor with the included cables.
Other accessories include a hook, magnet and mirror. The camera is powered by four AA batteries, which are not included.
“Inspection cameras are great to have around for anyone, because you never know when you’re going to need one,” said Tom Klein, vice president of marketing and merchandising with ToolSelect. “This new Ridgid inspection camera was built specifically to be ready to go if and when someone needs it, and we’re looking forward to seeing how our community responds to it.”
