Bosch introduced new oscillating-tool blades designed to give users 30 percent longer life and greater speed at the application, and ToolSelect members are discussing and reviewing the new blades on toolselect.com.
Titanium coating on the oscillating-tool blades help Bosch claim a 30 percent longer life due to a better distribution of heat across the surface of the blade, preventing overheating. The blades can be used with Bosch multi-tools in heavy-duty cutting applications from light-gauge metal (including studs) to fiberglass.
A new teardrop-shaped 3Max tungsten carbide blade was built specifically to help users save time while cleaning grout and removing thinset. The combination of a rasp and carbide blade let users work with one accessory rather than having to switch between the two.
“Oscillating tools represent one of the fastest-growing categories in the power-tool market,” said Brandon Eble, product manager with Bosch. “One of the drivers of that growth is the variety of accessories these tools can accept. With long-life cutting options and high-performance tile accessories, Bosch gives users tools that deliver maximum functionality at the jobsite.”
The half-moon segmented blades and full-size circular blades are all available in 2-1/2” and 3-1/4” diameters.
“Cleaning grout isn’t fun for anybody,” said Tom Klein, vice president of marketing and merchandising with ToolSelect. “These new blades are built to make it easier, and if so, our community will be raving about them. Bosch multi-tools are already popular among the ToolSelect community, so we know our members will be trying out these new blades.”
